Morrisons is to run an Easter fuel promotional campaign in the run-up to the Royal Wedding.

The two-week drive begins today and will see customers spending £40 or more at the tills offered a voucher worth 6p off every litre of fuel at Morrisons petrol stations.

Billington Cartmell has created the identity for the promotion while DLKW Lowe has created national posters, press and radio ads. Media has been bought by MEC.

There will be further online advertising (handled by Candi) and radio promotions by Billington Cartmell designed to catch drivers on their way home.

Adrian Thomas, head of retail at Billington Cartmell, said: "The cost of fuel is now a very real worry for British families and ‘Fuel Britannia’ is a great way for Morrisons to demonstrate that it appreciates the pressures on its customers’ pockets."
