The former controller of UKTV, Matthew Littleford has joined BBC Worldwide to help with the launch of BBC iPlayer international.

Littleford will be tasked with overseeing the editorial proposition for the global version of iPlayer which is expected to launch on iPads in the US this summer, reporting into worldwide president of global networks and international iPlayer, Jana Bennett.

He left UKTV in March after four years.

"Matthew's knowledge of great British content is second to none. For the past four years he has worked with UK broadcasters and the independent production community to fill the schedules of the 10 excellent UKTV channels," commented Bennett.
