Malibu launches Nikki Farquharson-designed limited edition bottle

Pernod Ricard rum brand Malibu has collaborated with illustrator Nikki Farquharson on a colourful limited edition bottle.

The bottle’s design is inspired by the vibrancy of summer and the colours of the iconic Malibu logo, reflecting the carnival spirit of Malibu’s Caribbean roots.

Malibu Limited Edition Summer ’11 goes on sale at the end of the month and is a key part of Malibu’s summer campaign which is to include TV advertising, a consumer experiential concept and investment in social media.

Patrick Venning, head of marketing for Malibu at Pernod Ricard UK, said the limited edition design “completely embodies the Malibu spirit” and that, by working with freelance illustrator Farquharson, Malibu has “developed a unique proposition for retailers that delivers stand out on shelf and will drive sales in the run up to the key summer period”.
