Manchester digital design company magneticNorth has appointed a new board of directors as it moves into its twelfth year in business.

Associate directors Steve Grace, Caroline Sotorrio, Adam Todd and Sanjeev Shewhorak have all been promoted to work alongside founders Lou Cordwell (pictured) and Brendan Dawes.

But former board member Janet Harrison has now left the business.

Cordwell and Dawes will now take on the new roles of chief executive and executive creative director respectively. They are also working on an unnamed "new venture" which will be revealed later this spring.

Cordwell said: "This a very exciting time for magneticNorth. Bren and I have worked closely with Steve, Caroline, Adam and Sanj for many years and have seen just how much they embody the magneticNorth brand and spirit. We couldn’t wish for a stronger team to help us lead the company into its next phase of development."

The company counts the BBC, Reuters and Arup among its clients. It recently launched a digital archive for Desert Island Discs and is working on the new BBC Proms website.
