Smart card organisation Ecebs has appointed Grayling Scotland to handle its PR activity.

Following a competitive pitch, Grayling Scotland will promote the East Kilbride based business with establishing it within new markets while also promoting new projects such as local authority services, near field payment methods, electronic wallets and smart ticket downloads across the UK.

Joanna Buggy, associate director at Grayling Scotland, who will lead the account, commented: “Ecebs has built a strong reputation for delivering cutting edge smart card solutions but the time has come for its whole portfolio of smart technology to receive wider recognition.

“The company is in a growth market where technology can provide solutions to organisations that are looking at ways to make services more efficient, particularly Local Authorities. Our approach will be focused on engaging with those decision makers to ensure they are better informed about the potential impact of smart technology,” she added.

The campaign by Grayling is expected to include an online audience profiling programme, with the agency also set to provide strategic advice on brand development.
