University of Edinburgh to appoint multi-agency design framework

The University of Edinburgh is set to establish a multi-agency framework agreement for graphic design and related services.

The framework will involve up to 10 agencies through a four-year contract which will have a budget of between £700,000 and £1,600,000, with agencies offering graphic design and creative service, not including online, working across two Lots.

The first Lot is for ‘Projects’ which are either high value or will roll out over a length of time, and cannot be provided internally, and will be appointed through mini competitions. The budget to accompany this Lot is between £1,000,000 and £1,200,000.

The second Lot for ‘Products’ will offer low value one off projects which will not be involve mini competitions, but be appointed depending on rates and relevant experience. The budget for this Lot will be between £200,000 and £400,000.

Between 10 to 20 agencies are expect to be involved in the tender process for the framework, with five agencies being appointed to each Lot. The successful applicants will be awarded initial three-year-contracts, which could be extended by 12 months beginning 9 October 2011.

Tender documents will be made available until 6 May.
