Could Charlie Sheen, the star who broke world Tweet records as he argued with his erstwhile TV bosses, really show 'em with a live performance? No.

Sheen who got a record million-plus Twitter followers as he argued with the TV show makers CBS after they suspended him, was trying to cash in on his cult following with the launch of his "My Violent Torpedo of Truth / Defeat Is Not an Option Show."

He tried to position himself as a folk hero of freedom. "Unfortunately for him, the audience at the Fox Theatre took him at his word: They essentially booed him off the stage," said McNulty.

Audience members who left before the show finished, gave the thumbs down as they left the theatre.

McNulty's conclusion: the ex-star of "Two and a Half Men" has no ability as a live performer.

He flashed bits of TV interviews on “20/20” TV and Piers Morgan Tonight. . He brandished his “warlock,” “tiger blood” and “duh” catch phrases. He offered an incoherent rant from a presidential podium. He even tried to hide behind film montages and video clips.

"But the ageing Hollywood pretty boy was not only defeated by the uncontrollable nature of theater--he was running scared, " said McNulty.

"The humiliation, however, wasn’t easy to watch. It’s one thing to read about the missteps of the rich and famous; it’s another to see a celebrity fall flat on his face in front of several thousand people."

Suddenly Sheen suggested that it was time for a break. A video was shown.

"Many of us waited patiently in our seats for Sheen to return," said McNulty. He never did. The houselights came up. A stranger asked, “Is this really it?”
