Taylor to Join Future as head of communications
IPC Media’s group head of PR is set to leave the business this week, to take up a new position as head of communications at Bath-based publishers, Future.
Taylor, who has worked at IPC Media since 2002, will take up his new role at the end of April; the company is currently recruiting for his replacement.
A representative from Future publishing stated that the company does not yet wish to comment on the appointment.
The news comes on the same day as an announcement from Future that trading conditions “remain challenging”, with Group revenue for the 6 months to 31 March down by roughly 2-3%.
This has largely been due to the structural shift from print to digital distribution, which has especially effected its largest segment of video-gaming.
IPC Media is notable for publishing a number of well-known magazines, including NME, Marie Claire and Woman’s Own.
