Former Channel 5 executives join Reelkandi.tv

Two former commercial executives for Channel 5 have joined online entertainment TV channel Reelkandi.tv as it aims to grow its offer and introduce new programming formats and commercial opportunities.

Lee Leborgne, former digital sales manager for Channel 5 will take the newly created role of head of media sales, while Amil Shah, for sales group manager, has been appointed as media advertising sales manager.

The pair will be responsible for developing and maximising emerging commercial opportunities across both online and hybrid TV, while also growing relationships with advertisers, generating revenue through feature sponsorship, video advertising, product placement and driving the company’s reputation.

Andi Super, CEO of reelkandi.tv, said: “The appointments of Lee and Amil mark a major step change elevating reelkandi.tv’s position in the market place alongside mainstream TV broadcasters. The new commercial team will drive innovation and push the boundaries as digital and conventional media converge. Significantly, the appointments underline reelkandi.tv’s intention to become a leader in the new platform of hybrid TV in addition to online VOD.”

Prior to working for Channel 5, Leborgne was at cinema advertising firm Pearl & Dean, while Shah held a number of sales roles in the eight years he spent at the broadcaster.
