Former Jack Daniels UK marketer joins Whyte and Mackay

Former head of marketing for Jack Daniels UK and Ireland, Denise Dewar has been appointed as marketing director at Whyte and Mackay.

Dewar has joined the company, taking a role that has been vacant since the departure of former marketing director Graeme Lindsay in 2009.

As well as overseeing all marketing activity for Jack Daniels for nearly four years, she has also held other senior roles while working for US owned wine and spirit company Brown Forman. Those included head of developing brands, which she held after working with Jack Daniels, before moving into consultancy in 2007, working with global companies such as GlaxoSmithKlein, Heineken and Freixenet.

She has also held sales and marketing roles with Glenmorangie, Finlandia vodka and Scottish Courage.

Dewar will report into global marketing director Nick Garland.
