The Drum has a pair of tickets to give away to next week's sold-out Manchester Design Symposium.

Speaking at the inaugural event will be acclaimed illustrator Si Scott, graphic designer and typographer Jonathan Barnbrook and Studio Dumbar partner Tom Dorresteijn, president of the Dutch Designers Association.

Type designer Bruno Magg and Eye editor John Walters have also just been confirmed as speakers.

You can hear from all of them on Wednesday 23 March at Manchester Metropolitan University. If you aren't lucky enough to have a ticket, here's how you can be there:

Speakers and studios who will be in attendance have each taken pictures of their empty desks for the Manchester Design Symposium website.

Send a picture of your desk to @thedrum on Twitter and you could be there too.

We'll include all the entries in a gallery and the best desk, as judged by our editor Gordon Young, will win a pair of tickets to the Symposium.

Closing time for entries is 6pm tonight and the editor's decision will be announced tomorrow. Good luck!

The Manchester Design Symposium has been organised by Design Initiative in association with Independent Northern Creatives. For more information go to manchesterdesignsymposium.com.
