Facebook is ending development of the Share button, with the Like button taking over. Before, when you clicked on a Share button, a blurb on your FB wall told others that had you found something interesting

Websites love the change: they get greater visibility. Users are less happy. A critic asks, "Why would anyone Like a video of police brutality rather than just Sharing it?"

Expect to see a barrage of Likes show up in your news feed very soon. The social website Soshable advises, "Be selective with what you like. You will start to annoy friends if you flood their news feeds with dozens of stories, videos, or pictures." In an Update, Soshable says, " It appears that Likes are registering as Shares now on the Share counter."
