Automotive manufacturer Mercedes-Benz UK is understood to be implementing a restructure within its marketing department, a move which will also see a new role taken by marketing director Ian Dutfield.

The brand is set to move Dutfield, who has held the role of marketing director since 2006 having worked at the company for over 25 years, internally to a new role, although it has yet to be revealed what that role will be.

Other changes are also thought to be implemented within the marketing team, but at the time of writing the company had yet to respond to The Drum’s various enquiries about it’s plans.

Meanwhile, yesterday it was revealed that Mercedes-Benz has been voted the UK’s top Superbrand for 2011, with luxury watch brand Rolex coming second.
