OK, OK its royal wedding madness. Maybe we will need these designer sickbags but it's all good for business

Fairy Liquid has a royal warrant so the Queen's coat of arms and the words "By Appointment to Her Majesty the Queen Manufacturers of Soap and Detergents" already appear on bottles .

The firm has confirmed that the Lord Chamberlain's office has given the nod and one of Procter and Gamble's agencies is believed to be working on the wedding-themed bottle. P&G say, "We know how much public excitement is already building and we are thrilled to have Fairy involved." Trouble is, other people have slipped in first.

With the rules governing the commercial use of royal photographs and insignia on wedding memorabilia relaxed, manufacturers can produce commemorative items as long as they use approved photographs and the items are "in good taste, free from any form of advertisement and carry no implication of royal approval."

You can be pretty sure that condoms manufactured by a firm called Crown Jewels ,which styles itself as "purveyors of the finest heritage prophylactics", are not in that category - but the pictures are out there. The pledge is that they will provide a "royal union of pleasure."

Also out there is designer Lydia Leith who has created Royal Wedding sickness bags for people who find it all too much. They are marketed under the brand name "Throne Up."
