Sarah Palin has issued a ‘non-specific’ denial that she has created a fake Facebook account to praise the messages she leaves on her own public account.

The account, discovered by gossip website Wonkette, created under the name of Lou Sarah – Palin’s middle name being Louise – seems to have been created with the intention of praising Palin’s messages and apparently is registered to Palin’s own email address, and is friends with members of her family.

Since speculation broke over the ownership of the account, Palin has moved to quell the rumour through a message issued on Facebook that only seems to have intensified online commentary.

Said the statement: There’s always buzz about fake Sarah Palin Facebook and Twitter accounts. Please know that this is my only authentic Facebook account and SarahPalinUSA is my only authentic Twitter account. Pay no attention to the fake accounts and their fake messages.”
