A series of tourism iPhone apps for Blackpool, Bristol and Cardiff have been developed by New Mind.

The Liverpool agency, which created the NewcastleGateshead City Guide last November, has used the same technology for the new guides, which allows visitors to access local and personalised information and allows them to find nearby accommodation, attractions and events.

Andy Abram, director of New Mind, explained: “Apps such as the NewcastleGateshead City Guide push tourism to new levels of potential and act as a natural bolt-on to destination websites as well as to other on and offline marketing initiatives. Our aim is to enrich the overall visitor experience and provide our customers with the ability to deliver unprecedented access to in-destination information.”

New Mind also created the website for Visit Cardiff in 2010.

It is understood that the agency is now looking for new cities to work with on developing similar apps.
