Bristol-based social media and networking solutions and video production services provider, Digital Visitor, has announced the formation of a board of directors, following the appointment of two new company directors.

Dick Porter and Duncan Greenland both joined Digital Visitor this month in order to help grow the company in their respective areas of expertise.

Porter is a co-founder of STA Travel, one of the world’s leading travel companies, which he managed as Director and CEO until 2007 and continues to serve as a Director of the STA Travel Group. Greenland built up the Study Group of companies in the 1990’s and was more recently a Non-Executive Director and lead investor in Real Gap and a Founder Board member of the British Educational Travel Association (BETA). The appointments have been made to help Digital Visitor develop both its core business in the travel sector, as well as its relatively new education sector portfolio. "Dick is one of those people I've heard a lot about in the industry and so I'm quite overwhelmed he would become a part of our team and also encouraged that he sees great value in what we do," explained Anthony Rawlins, managing director of Digital Visitor. "Duncan is also a highly successful businessman and we can't wait for him to help catapult us into new markets, offering new industries the same cutting edge social media and community solutions and services we have successfully delivered to the travel industry for three years," he added.
