Waitrose website gets £10m overhaul
Waitrose Deliver, the home delivery website of supermarket Waitrose, is being rebranded as waitrose.com as part of a £10m revamp.
Set to launch in the middle of March, the new site is part of the company’s plans to rapidly grow its online sales business over the next 10 years.
The new site will make it quicker and easier for customers to order groceries as well as offering new services such as click-and-collect and Waitrose Entertaining, which allows consumers to order food and accessories for special occasions. It will also allow shoppers to make personal requests, such as specifying green bananas or thicker slices of meat from the delicatessen.
Waitrose MD Mark Price said the investment in Waitrose’s online platform “will dramatically enhance the customer experience so that shoppers receive the unrivalled standards of service and the personal touch they associate with our branches.”
