Google announces Delicious tool
Search giant Google has launched a new tool for importing Delicious bookmarks to Google’s own Bookmark system.
A simple importer transfers the bookmarks, preserving any labels and tags, marking an overt challenge to Yahoo’s industry leading service and a bid snaffle its user base.
Google launched its own bookmarking tool back in 2005 but has struggled to make it a success.
The move comes as Yahoo seeks to flog Delicious but with a host of companies offering their own import tools the services value has become severely eroded.
