Following Rhapsody and We7’s condemnation of Apple’s new subscription charges for app downloads, the co-founder of Last.fm has claimed that the technology giant has ‘f*@cked over’ online music for iPhone.

Speaking to IRC Chat, Richard Jones, co-founder of internet radio site Last.fm also heavily criticised Apple’s policy to introduce a 30 per cent charge to each app subscription for publishers.

Jones also said that Apple might also be set to launch its own streaming music subscription later this year, and said that many services couldn’t survive losing 30 per cent of its revenue, specifically referring to Spotify.
