Simon Cowell to produce new ITV game show
Cutting talent scout Simon Cowell has been commissioned by ITV to produce a live lottery style game show, according to reports in The Sun.
The show will dish out prizes of up to £1m to contestants drawn from an arena of 17,000 potential contributors who each shell out around £1 for the privilege.
Ant and Dec have reportedly been hired by Cowell to host the contest, codenamed ‘Roulette’, with filming to take place at London’s Wembley Arena.
TV bosses aim to film a pilot in June with the hope of turning the show into a summer spectacular lasting over a weekend or longer.
Cowell is confident he can make a success of the format following earlier success in drawing millions of people to vote on the X-Factor.
