John Dash, former programme director at the radio division of UTV, has been appointed to the same role at Clyde 1 and Clyde 2.

Dash, who has been working as a consultant since leaving the Irish media group in late 2008, takes over from acting programme director Andy Matthews.

With over 20 years’ radio experience, Dash has worked for Key 103, Galaxy Bristol and Wave 105, while his role at UTV was for its UK-based stations, including talkSPORT.

Matthews was installed as acting programme director when Paul Saunders was let go by the company last year, and Clyde-owners Bauer Media said Matthews “will remain with the Clyde 1 & Clyde 2 production and programming teams for a handover period.”
