New packaging design for Blockbuster's own brand ice cream

The packaging redesign for DVD rental firm Blockbuster’s own-brand ice cream has been completed by We Are Pure.

The Nottingham packaging design consultancy has spent six weeks designing the new packaging for the ice cream, which will roll out across store in the UK from April.

We Are Pure has previously worked with Blockbuster on designing its entire own-brand confectionery ranging, including popcorn, crisps and sweets, and created the original design for the ice cream two years ago.

The brief this time was to create a new look as Blockbuster prepared to increase the range and switch the packaging from plastic tubs to using cardboard drums, each of which has an individual colour scheme to match the flavours.
