Digital marketing agency TAMBA has hired Stickee's Jon Harrison as its new creative director.

Harrison had been production director at Birmingham agency Stickee for two years, working with clients including BSkyB, McCains, ITV and Harper Collins.

Before that he spent the bulk of his 25-year career in the animation and games industry, with stints at Blitz Studios, Runecraft and Gremlin Graphics.

Harrison claims to have co-designed the world's first 3D pinball simulator in 1996 and he has worked on more than 180 games titles and several 3D animation projects for TV and cinema.

On joining Staffordshire-based TAMBA, he said: "To get the chance to play a pivotal role in TAMBA’s plans for the future and help shape its evolution is an opportunity that I couldn’t pass on."

Harrison's appointment follows last week's news that TAMBA has been hired to create the social media strategy for vodka drink brand VK.
