Digital Consortium builds mortgage finder for YBS

Digital Consortium has created a new microsite for Yorkshire Building Society to help customers get to grips with the different types of mortgages on offer.

The Yorkshire agency was briefed to design and build a site that would both promote YBS mortgages and help customers understand what terms like first time buyer, tracker, fixed rate and offset mean to them in a user-friendly way.

Digital Consortium’s response has been to use animations, online tools and calculators to provide all of the information customers need to make an informed decision in a straightforward format.

HTML 5 has been used to enhance the animation effects and PDF versions of the mortgage movies are also available so that anyone that cannot view them can print them off instead.

Liz Robinson, client services director at Digital Consortium, said: "We have managed this project from start to finish, and have done everything from inputting into the scriptwriting, storyboarding the animations, testing and commissioning voiceovers for the animations and sourcing someone to compose music to accompany the movies"
