Manchester to host Design Symposium next month
The inaugural Manchester Design Symposium takes place next month with The Value of Design as its central theme.
The event will be held at Manchester Metropolitan University on 23 March and it will explore the role and value of design across a range of different mediums.
Speakers will include the illustrious illustrator Si Scott and Dutch agency Studio Dumbar.
Chairing the Symposium will be professor David Crow, dean of the Faculty of Art & Design at Manchester Metropolitan University.
The event is being developed by Design Initiative in partnership with designers’ network Independent Northern Creatives, Manchester City Council and Manchester Metropolitan University.
There are plans for fringe events on the evening of the Symposium in Manchester's Northern Quarter.
Manchester agency Eskimo Creative has been appointed to handle digital and print design to promote the Symposium. Tickets will be available from Monday.
