Design agency Mercy has created three Wizard of Oz-themed campaign videos to highlight the plight of hidden homeless people for the Crisis charity.

They show Dorothy, the Cowardly Lion and the Scarecrow facing up to homelessness and play on the film's famous line "there's no place like home".

The videos were originally created as part of Liverpool and London-based Mercy's rebrand of the Crisis Hidden Gigs campaign and were shown during secret Coldplay gigs in Liverpool and Newcastle.

They are now running online as part of a wider campaign for the charity.

Joe Bramall, MD of Mercy said: “It was an extremely open brief and we had a lot of fun making the videos, we’re overjoyed with the outcome and are pleased they will now be seen by a wider audience.”

Leslie Morphy, chief executive of Crisis, added: “We hope these videos make people think about the issue, and hopefully help us in our mission to end homelessness by donating or campaigning for change.”
