Lancashire Sport Partnership has retained Lancashire agency Freshfield for its PR account for the third year running.

Freshfield has been appointed to provide a media relations campaign for the 2011 SPAR Lancashire Youth Games, organised by the Lancashire Sport Partnership, the strategic county sports partnership for Lancashire.

The events will bring together more than 10,000 pupils from hundreds of primary schools across 14 local authority districts for 112 district finals and nine county finals, including a special schools’ swimming gala and the SPAR Lancashire Disability Youth Games.

The first county event, tag rugby, will take place on Wednesday 9 March at Preston Grasshoppers.

Lancashire Sport Partnership chief executive Adrian Leather said of the appointment: “Year-on-year we have seen an increase in children participating in the events and Freshfield has done a tremendous job raising the awareness and profile of the Games. We are delighted to be partnering with them again in 2011.”
