20th Century Fox has promoted Chris Green to the role of theatrical marketing director, tasking the former marketing controller with developing marketing campaigns for all Fox’s UK cinema releases.

Based in London, Green will report to Cameron Saunders, MD of Fox's UK theatrical division, and in the first half of 2011 will take responsibility for marketing animated children's film 'Rio', the latest offering in the X-Men franchise, and 'Water for Elephants' which stars Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson.

Saunders praised Green, saying the marketer has “an outstanding track record of continually delivering high-impact integrated marketing campaigns, characterised by flair and originality”.

"In his time with the company, he has overseen campaigns from 'The Simpsons Movie', to 'Gulliver's Travels' and 'Avatar', with exceptional results. He brings to this role a wealth of experience and a real understanding of the UK film marketplace and how to stand out within it," he added.
