Novus Leisure has tasked The Big Partnership with handing the marketing strategy for the launch of its new Glasgow venue Mansion House.

Following a three-way-pitch, the agency will oversee social media, brand design, advertising, media relations and managing the launch event for the £1m club, which was also renamed by Big, as was the new Restaurant, The Glasserie and the Merchants bar.

A VIP launch party, managed by the agency’s events team will herald the opening of the venue on 3 March, with the account being headed up by Kelly Welsh.

Alex Barr, director of The BIG Partnership, said: “The work to launch Mansion House is an exciting start to 2011 for the BIG team and draws on our extensive experience working in the leisure sector.

“The campaign employs a wide range of skills that BIG offers clients, including traditional aspects such as media relations and design but with the additional benefits of a tailored social media campaign and event management from one team.”

The launch of Mansion House follows BIG’s work on the re-launch of The Corinthian in Glasgow in September 2010.
