Newcastle agency Cravens has won new business with Edinburgh Zoo and The National Trust - and the agency is promoting Kew Gardens' new Tropical Extravaganza Festival.

It picked up the Edinburgh Zoo account following a competitive tender and is now getting to work on the zoo's campaign for 2011.

The multi-channel advertising will break in April and run across broadcast, press, direct mail and online media.

The National Trust, meanwhile, has given the agency the task of promoting its "outdoors offer" in the South West of England, highlighting activities including surfing, hiking, cycling and beach boarding.

Cravens says its "quirky" campaign will shift public perception of the organisation when it is unveiled in the coming months.

Phil Coverdale, managing director of Cravens, said: “It’s great to start the year with two new exciting campaigns and we’re really looking forward to working closely with both Edinburgh Zoo and the National Trust to help them to achieve their targets and goals for the coming year.”

Along with the new appointments, Cravens is continuing its long-running work with Kew Gardens (pictured), launching a new campaign this month to promote the attraction's Tropical Extravaganza Festival.

It is also working on destination campaigns for ZSL London Zoo for April and May.
