Social gifting introduced via Thoughtful

Social gifting introduced via ThoughtfulSocial gifting introduced via Thoughtful

A social gifting has been given a private beta testing ahead of Valentine’s Day, a start up initiative designed to save men from making poor gift decisions.

Seattle based Thoughtful are behind the venture, which connects to Facebook to root out local experiences and gift recommendations that match their Valentines tastes.

Gifts are sourced from merchants who work with the start up to have their products and services featured, including spa breaks, clothing and restaurant deals.

The full gamut of social occasions will be catered for via a built in calendar to keep track of all important anniversaries and birthdays, including the requisite reminders to ensure gifts are purchased promptly.

Chris Lynch, Thoughtful’s CEO, said: “Guys don’t shop — they buy. There are a million places to shop online, but what most of us guys struggle with is having a good idea and then easily making it happen. Our app is built to recommend the perfect gift this year so that you can be the hero.”
