Facebook expected to launch Place Deals feature on UK phone app

Facebook is expected to announce today that it will launch its ‘Places Deals’ in the UK and Europe, having launched the reward service last year in the US.

The service uses the mobile phones of its users to ‘check in’ their location at shops, bars and restaurants to share with friends through its Facebook app and will then notify them of deals available near to that location, and also share them with friends.
