Ibiza Rocks and Mallorca Rocks move PR account to Material

Glasgow marketing and communications agency Material has won the PR account for the Ibiza Rocks and Mallorca Rocks brands.

Ibiza Rocks and Mallorca Rocks, which fuse music, fashion and travel though destination concept hotels, live music events, a travel company, fashion label and a club night, has tasked Material to oversee media relations and communications for 17 weeks of gigs, consumer, fashion and lifestyle PR for the fashion label and hotels.

The moving of the PR account to Material follows the agency’s appointment of Lisa Faichney as head of PR, joining from Ibiza Rocks and Mallorca Rocks incumbent LD Communications in London.

Ibiza Rocks’ CEO Andy McKay said of the appointment: “We’ve benefitted from a great working relationship with Lisa for the past several years and were keen to retain that success even after she announced she was leaving our incumbent agency, LD Communications. We had no qualms about moving to a PR agency north of the border, especially given the experience and expertise Material already has in the music and entertainment sector.”

Material’s music sector experience includes work for T in the Park, Oxegen and Glasgow: UNESCO City of Music.
