A limited edition variant of the Sugar Puffs cereal range, Honeycomb Puffs, is to appear on supermarket shelves from this week.

The breakfast snack has been designed for HM Foods by Holmes & Marchant and sports traditional chunks of puffed wheat but this time with the addition of honeycombs.

This latest ingredient plays a key role in the packaging with a vibrant yellow and black striped background highlighting a swarm of cartoon bees flying around the Honey Monster as he tucks into the treat.

The carton caters for mums too with a series of facts and trivia about bees printed on the back of each box alongside a host of nutrition and ingredient information.

HM Foods John Price said: “Limited editions have worked incredibly well for us over the last two years, adding fun and excitement to a fairly static category."

He added: “We’ve enjoyed great success with Banana Puffs, Choco Puffs and the Halloween themed Spooky Puffs and we’re hoping Honeycomb Puffs can be every bit as popular.”
