Vauxhall sponsorship deal could revive British Football Tournament

With Vauxhall set to be named as the sponsor of the English national football team, it has emerged that the automotive brand is also in discussion with the rest of the Home Nations, which could lead to revival of the British Home Championship.

Vauxhall will be unveiled as the new sponsors for the English national team by the Football Association later today, and is expected to also complete sponsorship deals with the Scottish, Northern Irish and Welsh teams within the next week, which is expected to lead to revival of the British Championship, which was an annual competition held until crowd troubles and weakened teams being fielded saw it effectively ended in the mid 80’s.
