Carla Nuttall, head of communications and marketing for urban regeneration company Central Salford is to leave, having accepted redundancy terms.

Central Salford will be closing at the end of March due to the loss of funds from the North-West Regional Development Agency and housing and the Homes & Communities Agency.

Nuttall is set to leave the organisation at the end of December having joined as head of communication in 2008 from the BBC.

In an email to colleages, Nuttall, said: “I would like to take this opportunity to say how very much I have enjoyed working with all of you during my time at Central Salford. I've been privileged to work on a fantastic and diverse range of projects with a number of incredibly talented people and I am looking forward to seeing those projects successfully delivered over the next few years.”

She is expected to work in a freelance capacity for the foreseeable future.
