The Cambridge Building Society has been running a campaign for its mortgages featuring a fluffy character called Mr Tick.

The six-week campaign, created by Cambridge-based Mobas, was intended to boost sales for the building society and give it a more "personable profile".

The agency claims its work has helped sell more than £30m worth of mortgages.

Mobas was first appointed by Cambridge Building Society in April and its first campaign featuring Mr Tick broke in May. The character was reprised in ads, posters, window graphics and leaflets for the latest push.

“The autumn campaign used the momentum created by the spring campaign and expanded the Mr Tick concept to a whole group of characters impersonating a range of products for homebuyers at different levels of the property ladder," said client development director, Sonia Lawrence.

The work appeared throughout Cambridge and in surrounding villages, and on Park&Ride buses and the King's Cross to King's Lynn railway line.

Mobas also helped develop Cambridge Building Society's sponsorship of Star Radio's 'Start Money' programme.
