Former Frank the Agency staff have regrouped to form a new "virtual consultancy".

Frank, the Cheshire advertising firm which worked with The London Eye, Beaverbrooks and Madame Tussauds, was forced to close in February because of "challenging economic conditions".

Now Forman and five Frank colleagues have opened The Frank Consultancy, which they describe as a "virtual agency".

Forman, the owner of the new business, said the revived Frank would be able to offer the same advertising services as before but would not be saddled with the overheads of a big office because of its "virtual" setup.

He said: "You can have the head, the tail, or indeed the whole damn fish - you can just pick whatever it is you require - from strategic planning and consumer insights to creative concepts and full production.

"There are no big agency overheads, you only pay for services that you use and of course that’s the key. We can match or indeed beat any agency out there by producing great and considered work, but we are much more competitive financially."

Forman said the new-look Frank has already picked up "considerable new business".

*AMENDMENT: Contrary to what we had been told by a spokesman for The Frank Consultancy, Ian Helsby has been in touch to clarify that he is "not involved in any way with The Frank Consultancy". Helsby is now actively involved in other business interests outside advertising and has no plans to return.
