Location, Location, Location presenter Kirstie Alsopp is backing the Keep Britain Tidy campaign – by littering Twitter with endless posts on discarded waste until the charity attains 10,000 followers.

The trash talking property queen has already succeeded in tripling the charities followers within a mere 18hrs and boasts a raft of celebrity endorsements from fellow tweeters including Lord Sugar, Stephen Fry and Boris Johnson.

Alsopp kicked off her campaign by tweeting: “‘I’m on Twitter Strike, until we can get @KeepBritainTidy over 10,000 followers & tonight is KHMH (Kirstie’s Homemade Home) so….no crafty answers until 10K’.

Needless to say all of Alsopp’s posts since have been rubbish.

Helen Bingham from Keep Britain Tidy said: ‘We couldn’t believe it. Our total number of followers was increasing by at least seven a minute and continued throughout the night.”
