Glasgow-based Front Page Design has won a major contract to create Royal Caribbean International’s next marketing campaign across the UK and Ireland.

The turn of the year campaign is the most fiercely competitive in the calendar for the travel industry, as companies try to encourage consumers to book their holidays early, just after the Christmas period.

The team at Glasgow-based Front Page Design is producing a broad package of promotional materials including press adverts, inserts, direct mail shots as well as an online ad campaign and micro-site for consumers. The team is also creating a sales pack for travel agents to help them promote Royal Caribbean International's cruises, including display stands and incentive offers.

JWT is producing the TV and Radio campaign, which will launch just after Christmas.

Front Page Design has worked with Royal Caribbean for the past five years on creating promotional material for the travel trade, but this is the first time the agency has been given responsibility for the high profile turn of year consumer campaign as well.

Felicity Johnson, director of Front Page Design (pictured), said: “This is a fantastic win for Front Page Design. We’ve worked with Royal Caribbean for a number of years now on the business to business side, but this is the biggest consumer campaign we've worked on for them. We’re delighted with the win. It is one of Royal Caribbean's major marketing campaigns of the year and the fact that they have chosen us to deliver it is a real source of pride.”

Jo Briody, Royal Caribbean’s head of marketing for the UK and Ireland added: “We have been very impressed with the levels of creativity, enthusiasm and quickness of response from Front Page Design and they have brought a real freshness to our campaign materials. We very much look forward to working with them going forward.”

Front Page Design, which is based in the Park area of Glasgow and celebrates its 20th year in business this year, also recently won a three year contract from the Canadian Tourism Commission to design and supply promotional materials for travel agents throughout the UK.
