The judging panel will be include marketers from brands including Easyjet, Umbro, Land Wove, HMV and Microsoft who will look for brilliant ideas and strategies, as well as equally brilliant bottom-line results.

Paul Simmons, regional general manager of Easyjet UK, who will be one of the judges, commented: “I will be looking for innovation, but innovation that’s clearly linked to business results. Nice to do’ activities that look good on paper but don’t drive business numbers will not be getting my vote. I’ll also be on the look-out for people who have succeeded against the odds, showing drive and determination to make things happen. The size of the initiative is not that important. But quality and relative impact is.”

The deadline for entering the awards will be Friday 28 January, but early entries ahead of 7 January will receive a 20% discount upon entering and can be done at The Drum Marketing Awards website.

Meanwhile, entries ahead of the deadline for the Online Media Awards before 24 December will also receive a 30% discount.
