A quartet of adult content television channels, operating under the Tease Me brand, have been had their licenses revoked by Ofcom for not being “fit and proper.”

Fans of Tease Me, Tease Me TV, Tease Me 2 and Tease Me 3 will be forced to look elsewhere for adult chat after the plug was pulled.

Ofcom said the free to air channels, owned by Bang Media and Bang channels Ltd, breached rules designed to shield children from inappropriate content and viewers from harmful and offensive material.

The ban followed over 60 rule breaches over an 18 month period involving female presenters encouraging pre-watershed viewers to call using premium rate telephone numbers.

Broadcast material was also considered to be too sexually explicit both for daytime viewing and unencrypted services.
