Business Week, the new business title by MEN has launched today, with the aim of building a circulation of 12,000 by January.

While no details have been announced of the team, it would appear that Simon Donohue (Manchester Evening News' media and features writer) is filling the editors chair, for the time being at least, with a team of four journalists.

The first edition is 40 pages long and claims to offer the reader "unrivaled business coverage," as the "only magazine of its kind in the area."

The new magazine is being labeled as a "natural successor" to Crain's – which announced its closure in June this year - with a mixed, free distribution model of pick up and direct mail.

The publication's website allows readers to access a free digital copy or subscribe to get the first six printed issues free.

Trinity Mirror subsidiary MEN Media announced it was to launch the dedicated Manchester business title last month.
