Aviva has launched an iPhone app which aims to increase the accuracy of its motor insurance claims.

Developed by 2ergo, the MyClaims app will aim to cut costs and improve customer experience while making accident claims, allowing policy holders to record details of motor accidents on their smartphone at the scene.

This will allow witness statements and photographs to be taken, while also using location based service or the global positioning system to pin-point the location of the accident.

Calls to emergency services or Aviva can also be done through the free-to-download app.

Bruce Cooper, sector head for 2ergo said: “MyClaims perfectly illustrates how our disruptive technology can bring significant business benefits to our customers.

“MyClaims is more than just an app and is deeply integrated into the business helping it to keep on top of claims and loss adjustment.

“Aviva is moving into new territory with this latest service and embracing the very latest ways to interact with its policy holders. We’ve brought the best of our CRM and security technology together and the result is an excellent tool to build customer loyalty and reinforce Aviva’s brand values.

“Technology is changing the way that consumers want to engage with companies and the best brands are investing in new customer service platforms, especially in the mobile space.”

The app is available to download at from the iTunes app store.
