Trinity Mirror subsidiary MEN Media has announced it is to launch a dedicated Manchester business title, Business Week, on Thurs Nov 25 in tandem with an online presence.

The 40 page full colour weekly aims to hit a circulation of 12,000 by the end of January through free distribution via pick up points and direct mail and marks a concerted effort by the media group to build their presence amongst Manchester’s business community.

It follows the failure of Crain’s Manchester Business earlier this year, a title which Trinity hope Business Week will replace.

Trinity tout the title as being: “packed with all the latest news, in-depth features, interviews, advice and profiles - designed to be a must-read publication for anyone interested in successful business.”

MEN will simultaneously bolster business coverage across its stable of titles, including four pages of dedicated news each day in the Manchester Evening News.

Trinity also owns the Insider business magazine in Scotland, although it is run by a Insider Media in the North West, opening the door to a potentially heated battle between the rival publishers.
