The Golden Twits public vote campaign is rapidly drawing toward its 2am, Monday denouement but that leaves a few hours still to make your opinion heard.

Voting amongst our shortlisted candidates has been fast and furious as Twitter users vie for supremacy in a public vote free for all as our countdown clock silently ticks toward zero hour.

From Stephen Fry to Jimmy Carr, Greater Manchester Police to Gene Hunt our ragbag assortment of hopefuls need your help if they are to proudly hold aloft their trophies and proclaim themselves top twits to a waiting nation.

Each category will receive two winners, a judges pick and the public’s choice, but will the two agree? Nobody, least of all us, yet knows but come this November 25 the Twitter universe will be waiting, tweets primed and ready, to spread the good news.

And remember, it’s not yet too late to book your place at this lavish London bash. Some tickets still remain on sale, but be quick. Time is rapidly running out.
