Nearly 1,000 votes cast in first 24 hours of GoldenTwits final stage voting

Nearly 1,000 votes have been cast in the first 24 hours of the final phase of voting for this year’s GoldenTwit awards.

Since the announcement of the final shortlist of nominees was unveiled yesterday, nearly 1,000 people have cast their votes for Twitter users such as Charlie Brooker, Philip Schofield, Eamonn Holmes and decide the best Tweets of the year.

Votes can be cast on the GoldenTwits website which closes at midnight on Sunday 14 November.

Around 15,000 votes were recieved during the initial stages of voting to compile the awards shortlist.

The final results will be announced at the GoldenTwit Awards Gala Presentation in a posh venue in London on 25 November.
