A campaign to support the communications teams within the public sector as its budgets are reduced, has been launched by Connect Communications.

The campaign, made up of a series of post cards, offers advice on how to save money from the production of communication materials, such as newspapers and magazines.

As part of the campaign a LinkedIn group has also been established allowing those who receive the postcards to share ideas and challenges with peers.

Alan Ramsay, managing director of Connect, explained: “The scale of public sector cuts has been well documented. Observers may regard communications as a ‘low lying fruit’, but actually at times like this, engaging with end users and other stakeholders is all the more crucial.

“We’re confident that our experience and expertise can help those in the public sector to communicate, despite the budget challenges they may face.”
