WPP makes $5m investment in Facebook tool

WPP Digital has announced the strategic investment of $5 million in a the Facebook management system for brands and marketers, Buddy Media while WPP group has announced a revenue increase over the last quarter of 12%.

Buddy Media, headquartered in New York, will form a strategic partnership with WPP with the aim of offering an improve measurement and scale for brands which are seeking to develop their Facebook presence and will see Buddy Media integrated into WPP’s suite of technology products and services.

Already this year WPP Digital has invested in London-based eCommera and Los Angeles-based

Ace Metrix.

Meanwhile, the group’s quarterly results show that the group’s revenue grew by £2.253 billion in the third quarter of the year and that £880 million of new business was brought in during the same period.
